Banana upside-down cake
Full banana upside-down cake recipe with caramel bottom and sliced bananas.
Ingredients

- 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 ripe bananas (smashed)
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch ground cloves

- 4 tbsp butter (1/2 stick)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2-1 banana (sliced)
- flaky sea salt (optional)
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, grease your baking dish and set aside.

Combine flour, baking powder and salt and set aside.

In a mixing bowl mash the bananas and mix well with 3 eggs, oil, greek yogurt, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and sugar.

Add the dry ingredients and fold into batter until incorporated. Do not overmix!

Combine the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and add to the bottom of a prepared baking dish. Place banana slices side by side on top of the caramel and if using, sprinkle flaky sea salt over the banana slices.

Add the batter on top of the banana slices and bake for 45-55 mins until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Let the cake cool for 10 mins before inverting onto a serving plate.
